Toy Train
The main attraction of Matheran is Toy Train it was built in 1907 by Adamjee Peerbhoy and cover the distance of 20 KM. This rail route goes through forest land which make journey lush greenery. The train starts from Nerul Junction and goes to Aman Lodge station, then Matheran station. But in the rainy season, the ride from Nerul Junction to Aman Lodge is shut down and only operates between Aman Lodge and Matheran station.
Internal Transport
As this hill station is automobile-free, the only modes of transport inside the hill station are horse riding, horse carts, and hand carts. If you have good company you can visit all places by walking.
